_____Random Info So this is my first submission of a shot taken during my recent tour with ~
emats. Finally something I am content with uploading because somehow I feel like I still could get a tad more quality out of the shots and then spend hours working on the processing and never really getting the satisfying result I was aiming for. So it might take a while until I will have all the shots I like ready to upload.
This specific shot was taken ni the vicinity of Lago d' Arpy in the northernmost part of Italy near the Aosta Valley and next to Morgex. Actually this waterfall is only a short distance downstream of the Lake itself which was so hard to get good compositions (especially with the bad light-conditions we found ourselves having) that we didn't really shot the lake but rather the creek that feeds the lake and the one that succeeds it. I like how I was able to get the maximum definition out of the water while maintaining its long exposure silky essence. I was experimenting quite some time with the shutter speed while shooting there always in fear that the sun would ascend behind the mountain ridge and make the scene impossible to exposure at all. I still have 2 other good shots of other cascades belonging to the same waterfall since it was quite a big one to say the least. All in all I guess it covers at least 150m of height.
One other funny thing was that during our way up to the village of Arpi ~
emats car was tending to overheat because we had to drive up the mountain in 3 sometimes 2 gear due to the ascent so we had to pause a couple of times to let the engine cool down even before we had reached the point where we packed out backpacks, tent and photostuff to hike to the lake.

Nightline recommended revising the sharpening I did so this time doing the sharpening myself rather then with the action I usually use. I guess the result is more fitting as it is now.
