Another shot from the Hardangervidda in Norway, damn it was windy I'm glad the tripod I bought in Trondheim was heavy enough to actually cope with it otherwise this panorama wouldn't have been possible. This picture is composed of 6 shots all 50mm and manual focus of course. One of the few panorama shots I took that turned out any good. But I still have the best one up my sleeve. So stay tuned.

hmm, irgendwie fehlt mir etwas, wenn ich dieses bild betrachte, evtl. ein kräftiger hintergrund? ich glaube mit 100-200mm brennweite hättest du noch wunderbar das gebirge im hintergrund mit einbinden können. das selbe versuche ich auch hin und wieder wenn wir in den alpen föhn haben, aber da reichen ~200mm gerade so aus

Nya, ich hatte halt max. 50mm somit konnt ich nicht mehr machen. Bei dem Bild ging es mir eigentlich auch mehr um die Tatsache wie weit und eintönig die Landschaft ist, das ist also schon gewollt ohne Spot.

sehr schön geworden, die wolken sind echt ein hingucker!
Und die horizontline ist auch fast "hundertprozentig" gerade.

Ganz 100% gerade war der Horizont auch nicht war halt nicht ganz Eben. Aber meine Wasserwaage schon.

Die Wolken waren auch mehr oder weniger der Grund warum ich die Aufnahme dann doch gemacht habe weil ich auch finde, dass die ganz schön was her machen, gerade im Panorama.

I have got a question for you, I tried to do HDR and I have found if I took a series of shots the clouds moved and it caused the problem of blurring the clouds on the output image.. how did you avoid it in this superb image? The clouds look low enough to touch.

Well, I simply used a RAW File and made 3 tiffs of it one I overexposed one step, the next was simply left unaltered and the third I overexposed one 1 step. These three I merged into a HDR, of course I did this for all 6 images. Works fine if the lighting conditions aren't to extreme e.g. with backlighting.
