   After first seeing this sight in my fellow ~emats gallery [link] - being the Gollinger waterfall in Austria near the German border next to the NP of Berchtesgarden, I wanted to go there and shot it myself. So after I went to the Alps earlier this year with ~emats I traveled down to Berchtesgarden with another friend who picked me up at his place to capture some sights in the Bavaria and Austria - this one being amongst them. I have to say it was more difficult than I had imagined beforehand and moreover the rainy weather made it even more difficult for I had to cover the lens most of the time not get drops on the filters. I cleaned them about 5 times before I actually took a decent composition but still I had quite some fun shooting this location. And although I've seen this quite some times here on DA I am glad that I have my own version of it. Hope you guys like it.

Also mir gefällt deine Version ausgezeichnet! Die Steine im Vordergrund machen für mich das Bild aus, so eine Komposition habe ich ja zum Beispiel gar nicht. Von den unterschiedlichen Bearbeitungen bin ich immer sehr positiv überrascht, jeder interpretiert die Szene anders. :) Wobei ich ja gerne in die warme Weißabgleich-Richtung tendiere.

Und Wasserfälle bei Sonne sind echt pretty shitty. Regen bringt immer gleich zwei Vorteile: das Licht und wenig Besucher. ;)

Freut mich, dass dir das Bild zu sagt. Ich hab lieber eine kalte Herangehensweise gewählt, da es vor Ort wirklich kalt und ungemütlich war, daher der eher kalte Weißabgleich. Ich hab insgesamt 6 verschiedene Kompositionen ausprobiert, allerdings fand ich alle anderen etwas zu sehr auf den Wasserfall fixiert, da fand ich die Idee mit den Steinen im Endeffekt am besten, vllt. gerade weil sie sich etwas unterscheidet, von dem was ich sonst so gesehen habe.

Und Regen bei Wasserfällen ist echt top, nur etwas unpraktisch für's Equipment, aber dennoch auf jeden Fall besser als Sonne. :D
